About My Three Words
I’ve been writing a My Three Words post every year since 2013.
Here are my three words for 2025.
Connected
Staying connected to people is something I really want to get better at. Because of my ADHD, I often get so caught up in whatever is right in front of me that I forget to reach out to the people I care about.
This has nothing to do with my affection or care about these people, it’s just that if they’re not directly in front of me, they kind of don’t exist in my field of awareness. When I finally do reconnect, it feels like no time has passed for me… though I know that’s not always how it feels for them.
This year, I’m making it a priority to change that.
I’m committing to being more intentional about staying in touch with the people who matter to me, whether it’s old friends I haven’t talked to in years or close friends I somehow haven’t checked in on for months. I’ve already set up a new system to help me stay on top of reaching out and staying connected.
I know that if I don’t make it a habit, life will keep pulling me in other directions, and I don’t want to let great relationships fade away just because I didn’t choose to address this blindspot.
Marketplace
I am committed to making sure more people know about The SUPER Market, my online marketplace.
While I’ve spent a lot of time setting it up, but I haven’t done enough to let people know about all of the great resources I’ve put on there.
Over the past 13 years, I’ve built a lot of templates, processes, and frameworks that can make life easier for entrepreneurs—especially those just starting out or trying to grow. Most of these resources live in my head and only come out when I’m coaching or consulting.
I know I can do better.
This year, I am going to release a lot more products and will dedicate more energy to promotion. I want to make more of what I’ve learned accessible and affordable for anyone who needs them. A big part of that is going to be making sure people know my online store even exists.
Video
A friend recently started sending me video messages instead of texts or audio, and seeing his face made me feel much more connected. It got me thinking about how I’ve often considered or attempted to create more video content but always found reasons to hold back or quit.
With an undergraduate degree in Film and Media arts, I always thought I’d make movies someday, but that ambition faded over time. I never could’ve imagined back then how smartphones and social media would make video such a powerful, multi-purpose tool.
Despite this, I’ve been reluctant to dive in. This is partly due to the effort involved, but also some underlying concerns I haven’t fully identified.
This year, I want to change that.
I’m committing to putting myself on video more often—not just as a 30-day experiment, but as a year-long priority. Whether it’s how I message people, create content, or approach new ideas, video will be a central part of my strategy.
I aim to become as comfortable on video as I am with writing or podcasting.
So, this is what I’m focusing on this year.
If you’re reading this, I hope that you hold me accountable.

Thanks, as always, to Chris Brogan for the initial inspiration to do this every year.
